We are looking for a mid-level SQA Engineer in Austin, US, to test web applications, support release quality, and collaborate with development and product teams. You will combine hands-on manual testing with API, SQL, defect management, and test automation maintenance.

About the role

As an SQA Engineer, you will help ensure the quality of web applications before release. You will design and execute manual tests, validate APIs and data, investigate defects, and maintain automated test coverage while working closely with developers and product managers.

What you will do

  • Create and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory test cases.
  • Perform API testing using Postman.
  • Use SQL to validate application data and test results.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
  • Work with developers and product managers to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Maintain automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release testing.
  • Contribute to software quality throughout the SDLC and STLC.

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience testing web applications in an SQA or QA role.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Practical experience with manual test case creation and execution.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman and data validation using SQL.
  • Experience identifying and managing defects with Jira or a similar tool.
  • Ability to maintain automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and product managers.
  • Availability to work full time onsite in Austin, US.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Git.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Exigences

Indispensable

  • 2–4 years of professional QA or SQA experience testing software, including web applications. 2 ans et +
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
  • Practical experience creating and executing functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory test cases.
  • Experience with API testing using Postman and data validation using SQL.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects in Jira or a similar defect management tool.
  • Experience maintaining automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Ability to work closely with developers and product managers to investigate and resolve defects.

Souhaitable

  • Experience using Git for version control.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and their role in software testing and release quality.
  • Experience participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release testing.
