About the role
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will develop and maintain backend systems using PHP and Laravel. You will turn product requirements into dependable services, improve existing code, and help ensure that applications remain secure, maintainable and responsive as they grow.
What you will do
- Design, develop and maintain backend features and RESTful APIs with PHP and Laravel.
- Work with relational databases, including data modelling, queries, migrations and performance improvements.
- Review code, write automated tests and troubleshoot issues across development and production environments.
- Integrate third-party services and support reliable data exchange between systems.
- Apply sound practices for authentication, authorisation, validation and protection of application data.
- Contribute to technical decisions, documentation and improvements to development processes.
- Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues through clear written and verbal communication in a remote working environment.
Working arrangement
This is a full-time remote position for a person based in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The work involves independent delivery, regular collaboration and ownership of backend engineering tasks.
