About the role
As an SQA Engineer, you will help ensure the quality of web applications before release. You will design and execute manual tests, validate APIs and data, investigate defects, and maintain automated test coverage while working closely with developers and product managers.
What you will do
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory test cases.
- Perform API testing using Postman.
- Use SQL to validate application data and test results.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Work with developers and product managers to investigate and resolve defects.
- Maintain automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release testing.
- Contribute to software quality throughout the SDLC and STLC.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience testing web applications in an SQA or QA role.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Practical experience with manual test case creation and execution.
- Experience with API testing using Postman and data validation using SQL.
- Experience identifying and managing defects with Jira or a similar tool.
- Ability to maintain automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and product managers.
- Availability to work full time onsite in Austin, US.
Nice to have
- Experience with Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
